Small Group Journeys

At Time To Journey, our small group journeys are always limited to a maximum of 10 guests, with the same personal host by your side from start to finish. With deep local knowledge and a strong network on every destination, we curate each journey end-to-end, shaped around the extraordinary experience and with highly curated meals as the red thread - from Michelin-starred tables and farm-to-table dining to food walks and private cooking classes.

It is slow travel at its best - space to be present and immerse yourself, where quality always outweighs quantity. These are not bucket list journeys - it’s a feeling of belonging that brings you close to the culture and the very heart of each destination.

Our small group size is what opens doors that are otherwise closed or hard to access - a visit to a private home, a truly special culinary experience, or hidden corners of a historic museum. It also brings a deeper sense of closeness and authenticity, and the chance to ask your guide all the questions you wish. Every experience is brought to life, and our guests are never passive spectators, but active participants at the heart of it all. We take care of everything, from luggage handling and high-end private transfers to all meals, with time built in for pauses and reflection.

Our small group journeys run on set dates each year, carefully timed to what the destination offers at its best. Are you traveling with a private group, such as a birthday celebration or a corporate event - we gladly curate a journey around your specific group and wishes. Discover more at Private Journeys Tailormade or contact us for a non-binding talk about your travel dreams.

Good to know

All our small group journeys are limited to 10 guests.

Handpicked hotels & country inns. English-speaking host & guides. Private transfer throughout. Local experts & immersive. All meals & experiences included. All experiences in the itinerary. Personal contacts, private access etc.. One person to call / mail. The journey is best suited to guests who are comfortable on their feet, with daily walking, cobbled streets, and stairs along the way.. We recommend packing light and smart: versatile layers for changeable weather, comfortable shoes for exploring, and a few refined pieces for memorable evenings out..

International flights to and from the Nordics are not included. Our small group journeys begin in Copenhagen (the Northern Light & Viking Wellness journey begins in Helsinki), and we ask you to arrive the day before the itinerary starts. Let us know your flight times, and we will help you with the night before and your transfer. From the first day of the itinerary, all transport is included: private transfers throughout, local transport and any internal flights that are part of the journey. On the last day we take you to the airport or to a hotel in the city where the journey ends.

You book by contacting us or through your travel advisor. We confirm your place with a Confirmation Invoice once a deposit of 40% of the journey price has been paid; the balance is due 90 days before departure. Payment is by bank transfer, and prices are quoted in euros. Deposits are non-refundable, and cancellation charges increase the closer to departure you cancel. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is a condition of booking. The full details are in sections 3 and 5 of our Terms & Conditions.

We offer commission-based partnerships to both B2C and B2B travel advisors. You find more info under the menu For Travel Advisors or book a non-binding online meeting with us.
